Iran's nuclear program and developments in Iraq and Afghanistan are among issues Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi is expected to discuss today with his Hungarian counterpart Ferenc Somogyi at the start of his two-day visit to
Hungary. Kharrazi is also scheduled to meet with President Ferenc Madl and sign a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian government to fight illegal drug trafficking.
Kharrazi comes to Hungary at a time when members of the European Union, which Hungary joined in May, are negotiating to persuade Iran to abandon its uranium enrichment program that the United States says could be used to manufacture nuclear weapons.
