US-Made Radiation Testing Device Seen at Suspected Iran Nuclear Site

A radiation counter made by Connecticut-based firm Canberra Industries was spotted in Iran at a razed site in Lavizan, north of Tehran, where Washington suspects Iran conducted covert atomic bomb-related research, Reuters Louis Charbonneau reports from Vienna. The counter, used to measure radiation contamination in humans, was sold directly to a university or hospital in Iran in the early 1990s with a US export license, the sources told Reuters.
