Iranian Foreign Minister To Meet with German Counterpart

Iran's nuclear program is expected to be on the agenda during scheduled talks today,16th February, in Berlin between Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his German counterpart Joschka Fischer. His remarks follow a report in The Washington Post on Sunday that quoted unnamed U.S. officials as saying the drones have been flying over Iran for nearly a year to seek evidence of nuclear weapons programs. Yunesi told reporters today that, quote, "U.S. spying activities over Iranian airspace have been going since a long time ago." He said the surveillance will not reveal anything because Iran'snuclear activities are transparent and its military activities are all legal. In recent weeks, state-run Iranian media has reported numerous sightings of unknown objects flying over areas where nuclear facilities are located. Yunesi said the air force is ready to shoot down any drones it finds spying on Iran.
