An Iranian negotiator says there is little hope of reaching agreement in emergency talks with Britain, France and Germany on Iran's nuclear program. Cyrus Nasseri told journalists in Tehran today that the Europeans are not capable of acting independently from what he called the extremists in the U.S. administration. Nasseri said that when it comes to making a decision, they want to coordinate with the Americans. The three European powers called a crisis meeting after Tehran announced it would resume uranium conversion work. That's a step which c-o-u-l-d lead towards developing a nuclear weapon. Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful, and that it has a right to continue such work.
