NUCLEAR: Iran Prepares for Resuming Uranium Enrichment
The Islamic government is preparing to formally announce the end of its voluntary suspension of uranium enrichment, while the UN International Atomic Energy Agency has not yet confirmed that Iran suspended uranium enrichment activity. The Islamic Republic does feel bound by the IAEA’s recent resolution and will resume uranium enrichment, top nuclear negotiator Hassan Rowhani said last night in a TV interview aired in Tehran. The Majles will soon pass a bill requiring the government to end its voluntary suspension of uranium enrichment, head of the Majles national security and foreign relations committee Kazem Jalali said.
