Head of the Greater Tehran environmental protection agency warned against drinking water from wells in southern Tehran, due to underground water sources’ contamination from the Tehran refinery. An epidemic spread of skin disorders and wounds has been linked to the water contamination. Tehran University ecology professor Esmail Kahrom tells Radio Farda that no clean up work can begin until the source of the contamination is found.
