Iran has signalled its willingness to suspend work on uranium enrichment to give European negotiators time to prepare a proposal acceptable to Tehran. The official Islamic Republic News Agency said today Iran would continue the temporary freeze on key nuclear activities. The announcement follows talks last month with European negotiators in which Iran agreed to review a European Union proposal for a new round of talks in the summer. Ali Aghamohammadi, a spokesman for Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Europeans will have time until the end of July to prepare details of their proposal. Iran has denied charges that its nuclear activities are related to weapons development.
