“The Europeans’ soft approach to Iran seems to have failed, the London daily Economist writes. Relations between EU and Iran have not advanced as fast that we had hoped, Cristina Gallach, a spokesperson for EU’s foreign policy chief Javier Solana, tells Radio Farda’s broadcaster Fariba Mavedat. The EU seeks better relations with Iran, but to do so we would need Iran’s fuller cooperation on the nuclear issue, as well as social and political reforms and progress towards democracy, she adds.
