ENERGY: Total Signs New Deals to Expand Iran Operations, Technical Deputy Manager Says

July 9, 2004 - The French oil company Total is one of the 400 domestic and foreign oil and gas concerns participating in the 9th Tehran international oil and gas trade show. Total has finished four major oil and gas projects in Iran, and is about to sign contracts for two more projects, technical deputy of Total’s office in Iran Ahmad Sharounizadeh tells Radio Farda’s reporter Arash Qavidel. In the Persian Gulf, the Siri and Balal oil fields and the South Pars Phases One and Two gas fields have already been turned over to the National Iranian Oil Company, he says. “A project Total still has under development is the Doroud field in Khark island,” he adds. “Total is finalizing a deal to develop the South Pars Phase 11, and has a contract with Petropars, a semi-governmental domestic oil company, to produce liquid gas, he adds.
