Iran Says U.S. Flying Spy Drones Over Nuclear Sites

Iran's Intelligence Minister Ali Yunesi said on 16th February that the United States has been using pilot-less planes and satellitesto spy on Iran's nuclear and military sites His remarks follow a report in The Washington Post on Sunday that quoted unnamed U.S. officials as saying the drones have been flying over Iran for nearly a year to seek evidence of nuclear weapons programs. Yunesi told reporters today that, quote, "U.S. spying activities over Iranian airspace have been going since a long time ago." He said the surveillance will not reveal anything because Iran'snuclear activities are transparent and its military activities are all legal. In recent weeks, state-run Iranian media has reported numerous sightings of unknown objects flying over areas where nuclear facilities are located. Yunesi said the air force is ready to shoot down any drones it finds spying on Iran.
