August 2, 2004 - In an interview with Radio Farda’s Cologne-based correspondent Shahram Mirian, German member of the European Parliament Michael Gahler warns the Islamic government against nuclear programs that would raise suspicions about the regime's intentions. He adds that referral of the case to the UN Security Council will not be benefit Iran. The moderate stance of the EU toward Iran is aimed at strengthening those within the Islamic government who are pushing for cooperation with the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, he adds.
