NUCLEAR: EU Ministers to Assess Relations with Iran, European Parliament Member Says

September 3, 2004 - In their two-day meeting today in Valkernburg, Netherlands, the European Union foreign ministers are about to reconsider and reshape the EU’s policy towards Iran in the light of ambiguities which continue to exist in the Islamic government’s nuclear program, head of the European Parliaments committee on foreign affairs Elmar Brok tells Radio Farda’s Cologne-based correspondent Shahram Mirian. Iran should take action to end the notion that it is playing with everybody, Brok, a member of Germany’s Christian Democrat Party, says in an interview from his office in Brussels. Iran should also try to erase the suspicion that it continues to hide a weapons program, he adds.
