U.S. President George W. Bush has told Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon that he supports European diplomatic efforts to ensure Iran does not develop nuclear weapons. The White House acknowledged today that Bush talked about the importance of supporting the European efforts when he welcomed Sharon to his Texas ranch on Monday. The White House comments came after The New York Times reported that Sharon had shown Bush satellite photos of Iranian nuclear sites and warned that Tehran was approaching a "point of no return" in learning how to make an atomic bomb. Iran, meanwhile, has rejected reports that it may have secretly moved processed uranium from a nuclear facility being monitored by a UN agency. Iran agreed last November to suspend uranium enrichment while it tries to reach agreement with the European Union over the future of its nuclear program.
